Rethinking
Gaming Gear
Gaming gear often leans towards the expressive and complex. This project took a different direction.
Together with Fractal Design, we rethought the gaming headset, moving away from aggressive styling and towards a more refined, human-centered expression.
The ambition was to create a product that feels at home beyond gaming, designed to integrate naturally into everyday environments.
Comfort, Refined
Comfort was a key driver in the design process. The headset is shaped around balance, weight distribution, and material softness, ensuring a natural and unobtrusive fit over extended use. Every detail, from cushioning to pressure points, is carefully considered to support long sessions without distraction.
Intuitive Control
The user interface is designed to be simple, tactile, and easy to navigate. A physical control crown provides precise and immediate input, supported by a clear and minimal visual feedback system. By prioritising clarity and reducing complexity, the interaction feels direct and unobtrusive, aligning with the overall design intent.
Our Role
We partnered closely with Fractal Design from early concept to final design. Our work included industrial design, CMF, and user experience, defining a clear direction that balances performance, comfort, and a distinctly Scandinavian expression, aligned with Fractal’s design DNA and brand values.
