Sculptural Surveillance
What if security products didn't have to look like security products? Developed inside the Swift Creatives Innovation Lab, Sculptural Surveillance challenges the utilitarian aesthetics that dominate today's surveillance market.
By combining cameras, lighting, and audio with expressive sculptural forms, the project explores how everyday infrastructure can become a meaningful and visually engaging part of our surroundings.
Turning Heads in Public Spaces
As part of the Swift Creatives Innovation Lab approach, Sculptural Surveillance was tested outside the studio and placed in real-world urban environments across Denmark. These installations generated significant public interest and valuable feedback, helping us understand how people interact with—and emotionally respond to—functional products when they are designed with creativity, personality, and purpose.
One Sculpture, Multiple Functions
Sculptural Surveillance was designed as a modular platform where a shared sculptural base can be combined with different functional modules, including speakers, lighting, and movable camera units. Multiple configurations were prototyped and tested, demonstrating how a single design language can support a wide range of applications while adapting to different environments and user needs.
The Innovation Lab Approach
We don't just imagine the future. We build it. The Swift Creatives Innovation Lab is our internal playground for exploring new technologies, testing unconventional ideas, and creating working prototypes that challenge convention. By bringing concepts to life early, we de-risk innovation projects, prove feasibility, and create confidence that bold ideas can become successful products.
